The Reds are running away with it at the moment. Jürgen Klopp has opened up a 22 point chasm between himself and Manchester City. The Citizens dropped more points this weekend whilst The Reds made no mistake. Pep Guardiola has described Liverpool as “unstoppable”.

Who would have thought this is where we would be this time last season?

The 2018/19 Premier League season was determined by just a point with Man City coming out on top in an ending fit for a Rocky film.

Liverpool sucked it up and came back even stronger this season whilst their Manchester rivals fell off a cliff.

The gap is now 22 points between first and second place and some are finding it hard to comprehend. Manchester City fan Stat Man Gaz in particular is struggling to process his side’s distance from Liverpool.

Speaking after his side’s defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, Pep Guardiola admitted to the press (h/t Evening Standard) that Liverpool are “unstoppable”.

The Spaniard went on to insist that by the league’s own standards, Liverpool’s dominance is not a good thing, saying:

“The last two seasons it was a guy, the owner of the Premier League, who said that can’t happen again and it isn’t good for the Premier League when City win the title in that way.

“So now it is Liverpool you have to be concerned about (if you are) the owner of the Premier League.”

What RTK has to say

He’s not wrong, you’ve got to give him that.

Guardiola calling Liverpool unstoppable is bang on the money. At the minute it doesn’t appear as if any side has it in them to halt Klopp in his tracks.

If we carry on the way we are, Liverpool will win the league with a record amount of points and in a record amount of time.

There is also the obvious consideration of the invincibles record. With no side looking able to beat Liverpool, this may be the year that we see another team go undefeated for a whole season.
