Liverpool will surely make some moves this summer and here are three Premier League players the club should watch. If any continue to impress, they’d be well worth considering.

Adama Traore

We’ve talked about Traore before. Plenty, in fact, as we feel he’s the kind of signing Liverpool thrive with. The winger even had an audition of sorts on Thursday and passed with flying colours.

Traore has come on leaps and bounds in recent years and especially since his £18m move to Wolves. His pace has always been absolutely electrifying but he’s now adding output, too. His seven assists this season suggest he’s becoming a true danger and if he keeps that up, Liverpool should move.

Emiliano Buendia

Buendia, like Traore, has also racked up seven assists this season but with less fanfare than the Wolves winger. He’s done it at a far worse team in Norwich, too, and one that looks likely to drop down a division this summer.

That could be key for the Reds as his price would fall dramatically. That’s in stark contrast to Traore, whose price will only rise.

There are more positives to Buendia, too. The Argentine is only 23 – a year younger than Traore – while defensively he’s a star. According to Whoscored, Buendia wins on average 2.5 tackles per game – that’s the 18th most in the entire Premier League. It’s easy to see how a player like that could fit into the Liverpool side as cover.

Philip Billing

Billing only moved to Bournemouth in the summer for £15m but again, his team could drop down. If they do, he could be a great cut-price option in midfield.

Per Whoscored, Billing picks up 2.3 interceptions a game. That’s .4 behind Wilfred Ndidi, a player who’s also 23, who has the second-most in the league. Ndidi would be something of a dream signing, of course, but likely to be far too expensive for a squad option.

Billing also picks up 2.4 tackles a game. Now, that’s behind Ndidi’s 4.1 – the second-most, again – but we’re looking for a good squad option here.

And that’s all Billing would have to be. A solid but possibly cheap option from the bench when the team needs more physicality and defensive work.

Looking to the summer

So that’s three possible Liverpool targets for the summer – if they continue their form that is. Perhaps the Reds go for none of them but worth keeping an eye on? Absolutely.
