This Liverpool team are nigh on perfect. The Reds have won 21 of their 22 Premier League games this season. The Anfield giants haven’t tasted defeat in the league since last January. Despite this, Jürgen Klopp believes concentration is where Liverpool can improve.
The Reds have been smashing records for fun this season.
One of the most remarkable feats this squad achieved was becoming the first team in the history of Europe’s top five leagues to win 20 of their first 21 games.
The invincibles record is the one people won’t shut up about, with fans and pundits alike debating just who can halt this juggernaut.
With so many records broken and so many more ready to be smashed, it is hard to pinpoint just how this side can better themselves.
Jürgen Klopp believes concentration is where his lads can take steps, when asked about improvements he told his pre-match press conference:
“Concentration level. Five minutes before half-time and at the end, United came back and game should have been decided already.”
“There is a lot of space for improvement. How can we help ourselves? We need to find a common way in situations to dominate the game in a slightly different manner.”
What RTK has to say
We wrote after the Spurs win that the lads appeared to switch off towards the end of the game.
It is understandable that concentration levels will dip at times. Playing in Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool is incredible demanding.
Players need to be switched on at all times. They need to know when to press, when to hold off. When to go long, when to keep it simple.
The team have reached the pinnacle of performance in recent months, the 4-0 dismantling of Leicester City is one of the best performances the division has seen.
If The Reds can maintain their concentration going forward then nobody will come near them.
