The trip to the West Midlands is sure to be one of the toughest tests that Jürgen Klopp‘s side have faced this season.

Wolves have pulled off some terrific results in front of their own supporters, most notably coming from 2-0 down to beat Manchester City 3-2.

Here are our three predictions for when Wolves host Liverpool:

Man of the Match: Virgil van Dijk

This is going to be a big test for Big Virg. The Dutchman has established himself as the best centre half in the world bar none. On Thursday he’ll be coming up against the deadly Raul Jimenez and may find himself dealing with the pace and power of Adama Traore.

If our number four keeps them both quiet he’s a shoe in for Man of the Match.

Got to score: Sadio Mane

The hosts will commit a lot of bodies forward on the break with Liverpool expected to dominate possession.

We have seen this season that The Reds are masters of the counter attack. We can expect Sadio take advantage if the hosts are caught with too many men in the Liverpool half.

Final score: Wolves 0-2 Liverpool

This Liverpool team are relentless mentality monsters. It will take a disciplined performance but we can expect a showing similar to the one we saw when The Reds took on Leicester City away.

Jürgen’s men will look to choke the game by dominating possession and restricting the opposition when they have the ball.

If Liverpool are patient and professional then they can nick one when dominating and one when countering.
