This season has seen Liverpool set themselves apart from the pack. Jürgen Klopp’s side are 13 points clear with two games in hand. They cannot be caught, they are on the precipice of dynasty. If PSG manage to bag Pep Guardiola, Liverpool could dominate for years to come.
According to a report in The Sunday Express, PSG are looking to sign Pep Guardiola as manager if they sack Thomas Tuchel.
Whilst Tuchel is cruising at the top of the French Ligue 1 – ahead of Marseilles by eight points – his job is still under threat in the French capital.
The PSG board as desperate for continental success. After all, they’re one of those oil rich sides aren’t they. What a shame.
The Paris side have won six of the last French top flight titles. The board as not content. Winning The Champions League is the absolute priority.
If PSG do manage to bag Pep Guardiola, Liverpool could put themselves out of sight at the top of the league.
At the minute, the only thing stopping Man City from being written off next season is Guardiola. The Spaniard is undeniably one of the best managers the game has seen – if The Citizens lose him then they will struggle to make up the ground on Liverpool.
Currently, Mauricio Pochettino is the only available manager capable of at least steadying the ship if Guardiola was to leave the Etihad stadium.
However, City would face a fight for the Argentinian and it is unlikely he would want to take the job given his purported interest in succeeding Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
It will take a massive rebuild at City for them to be able to catch up with Klopp. The last thing that the Blues need is for PSG to take Pep Guardiola from them.
