Liverpool have barely put a foot wrong this season, the Reds have won nearly every game – only misstepping on a few occasions. Two such missteps were against Napoli and Manchester United. The Reds drew with their Manchester rivals in October and with the Italians in November. Some positive news semi-related to both of these fixtures has emerged as Jürgen Klopp has delivered a Fabinho injury update.
The Reds have been without their Brazilian defensive midfielder since he was forced off after 19 minutes against Napoli at Anfield.
The leggy enforcer had been one of our most pivotal players up until the time of his injury. His anticipation and passing range were winning games on their own – not to mention his thunderbolt against Manchester City in November.
The biggest compliment that we can give this Liverpool side is that despite being without Fabinho for over six weeks, we haven’t missed him. The Reds have kept marching on, extending their lead over champions Man City to 14 points with a game in hand.
Jürgen Klopp told his pre-match press conference, broadcast on the club’s official YouTube, that Fabby could be back for the Manchester United game – saying he should be back in full training next week.

What RTK has to say
How good are these Reds? We absolutely humiliated second place Leicester City on Boxing Day and we did it without one of our most important midfielders. Lord knows how good we will be when we throw Fabinho back into this side.
It could prove invaluable to Klopp having Fabinho available against Manchester United, he is unlikely to start but if he does he will be crucial to dictating the tempo against a side that are likely to sit deep and compact against the league leaders.
