The Reds are top of the league, they’re looking seemingly unstoppable. With a potential 16 point lead over Leicester City and 17 point lead over Manchester City, it doesn’t look as though anyone can get in the way of Liverpool and their first title in 30 years. Despite the Reds’ lead, we must concede that the lads haven’t even hit their best form. Seeing Fabinho and Naby Keita line up together could see Jürgen Klopp’s men finally turn it on.

The fact that Liverpool are so far ahead and we think that the team still has more to give is testament to just how good Jürgen’s Reds are.
Throughout the season we’ve seen the squad do just about enough to get over the line, we’ve also see them completely dominate teams, blowing away clubs that were meant to pose a threat – see Manchester City and Leicester City.
However, there is a feeling that the lads still haven’t got out of second gear – there is certainly a lot more to come from this team. We may see the squad’s true potential unleashed when Fabinho and Naby Keita regularly lineup together.
It wasn’t until December that we saw Keita finally hit the form that we were hoping for – by the 21st of December he had scored six goals in his previous 13 starts. We have never seen this Naby Keita alongside Fabby on a regular basis.
The Reds have been without Fabinho since the end of November but should be back to full fitness in the next few weeks. When the Brazilian returns to the lineup we will see Keita play with even more freedom than he has been in recent weeks.
One of the jigsaw pieces that Klopp has been missing is an advanced midfielder in the mould of Philippe Coutinho. Keita has threatened this sort of form, often drifting past his man and sliding inch perfect passes through for the forwards – with the defensive capabilities of Fabinho behind him we can expect the Guinean to get further forward.
This pairing could finally ignite the attacking spark of this special Liverpool side – who knows what will happen when we see this duo finally get a run of games together?
