What a Merseyside Derby, the Reds put out a team of kids and they played out of their skin, what a day to be a Kopite. The Reds knocked the Blues out of the FA Cup with the only goal of the game being a wonder strike from local lad Curtis Jones. Here are our Liverpool player ratings v Everton:

Goalkeeper: Adrian – 9

The Spaniard scores well in our Liverpool player ratings v Everton after pulling off some impressive saves in the first half.

Right back: Neco Williams 9

Williams had an absolute blinder. The Welshman’s delivery was sublime and he was defensively assured, a massive statement by the young man.

Centre back: Joe Gomez – 8.5

JoGo had to command an inexperienced, hodgepodge defence and he did a superb job. His composure was a joy to behold.

Centre back: Nat Phillips – 7

The centre half was recalled from Stuttgart this week and slotted in without fuss, very impressive.

Left back: Yasser Larouci – 7

With James Milner coming off early doors Larouci was forced on and he was solid throughout.

Centre midfield: Curtis Jones – 190387928735

The local lad was the hero tonight, curling one into the top corner – of course, Jordan Pickford couldn’t reach the crossbar.

Centre midfield: Pedro Chirivella – 8

Chirivella may have struggled to break into the Liverpool first team but his passing and anticipation this afternoon suggested he can be trusted as a rotation option.

Centre midfield: Adam Lallana – 7

The monied midfielder took the armband early on and worked his socks off as usual.

Right wing: Harvey Elliott – 8

The young lad gave a thoroughly good account of himself today and was unlucky to finish the game without a goal or assist.

Left wing: Takumi Minamino – 7.5

The Japanese new signing played very well for a man that has only been at the club less than a week, he will prove to be a gem of a signing.

Striker: Divock Origi – 7

The Belgian forward loves playing against the Blues, he was at it again today but the end product just wasn’t there unfortunately.
