As we head into the January transfer window we can bank on a few departures from the club. With the Reds out of the League Cup for the season, first team opportunities for youngsters will be limited – particularly with so much at stake. According to Football Insider, Rhian Brewster is set for a loan move to Swansea City.

Rumours about Brewster heading out on loan have been circulating for a few weeks now. Crystal Palace, Swansea City, Leeds United and Aston Villa were all touted as interested parties.
The 19-year-old forward has struggled to break into Jürgen Klopp’s starting XI but there is still a belief that he will make the grade given sufficient first team minutes elsewhere.
Football Insider believe that Rhian Brewster to Swansea City is near enough a done deal, with the Swans thought to have edged out Leeds United in the race for the youngster.
What RTK has to say
Fingers crossed this move goes through. We have been sold the dream that Brewster will go on to be one of the greatest English strikers of his generation but he has failed to force his way into Jürgen Klopp’s first team plans as of yet.
With the League Cup over for another season there are fewer games to give youth a chance in, we should do our best to make sure that the 19-year-old gets first team football somewhere.
Rhian Brewster moving to Swansea will give him time in a possession based side and will also give him more minutes than he could have expected at Leeds United or Crystal Palace.
Let’s home that Rhian benefits from a loan move in the same way that Harry Kane and Tammy Abraham did.
