With January fast approaching the list of potential incomings and outgoings at Liverpool is growing. The Reds have been linked with just about every talented footballer in Europe, they reportedly have a deal in principle agreed to sign one of them, there have also been rumours of temporary departures from Melwood. Darren Bent has said that he believes Rhian Brewster would be the “perfect” loan signing for Leeds United.
Retired forward Darren Bent told Football Insider:
“He needs to get games, he is a quality centre-forward, good on the ball so would be a good signing. It’s a no-brainer if they’re willing to let him go out on loan and Leeds would be perfect for him with them near the top of the Championship. He’ll go in there, play, help them get promoted, and if he does help them get promoted who knows next season he may end up getting a permanent move to Leeds and that could really kickstart his Premier League career.”
What RTK has to say
Hold your horses. We may agree with Darren Bent that Rhian Brewster would be the perfect loan signing for Leeds United but let’s not start talking about permanent transfers yet please.
The youngster is one of the most highly regarded young strikers in the country, Liverpool are unlikely to let him go on a permanent basis without giving him a proper crack at the first team.
We are desperate to see Brewster develop, a short spell at Leeds United would be a good first step towards this. Fingers crossed he gets the first team minutes he so desperately needs.
