Sadio Mane has carried Liverpool at times this season. The Senegalese forward has been in sensational form this campaign, netting nine goals and bagging four assists in the Premier League. With the winger able to shine in any top European side, there is inevitably going to be interest in his services. According to France Football (via Sport Witness) Sadio Mane could be wanted by PSG if Neymar leaves the Parisians.
France Football this week ran a special feature about potential incomings and outgoings at Le Parc des Princes. In the report they suggest that should Neymar return to La Liga with either Barcelona or Real Madrid, Sadio Mane would be the “perfect” candidate for PSG when it comes to replacing the Brazilian.
What RTK has to say
This is a very bold claim. Whether or not Sadio Mane is subject to a bid from PSG relies on a number of variables – the Neymar transfer being the most crucial.
It does appear that the Brazilian’s days in France are numbered. The French champions don’t look like winning the Champions League any time soon and the ex-Barcelona forward’s ambition will have him wanting a move that will better his Ballon d’Or chances.
If PSG did submit an offer for Mane, we can rest assured that it would take a ludicrous amount of money to lure him from Anfield. Michael Edwards has proven in recent years that he can squeeze buyers for every last penny – he got £19m for Dominic Solanke for crying out loud! If we were to sell Mane we could afford two replacements.
