There were a few eyebrows raised by Jürgen Klopp’s team selection tonight but it turned out to be a masterclass. The Reds ran out 5-2 winners at Anfield in a Merseyside Derby that consolidated the hosts’ lead at the top and sent the visitors in the relegation zone. Goalkeeper: Adrian – 7.5
The Spaniard didn’t look out of place at all and was unlucky to concede twice.
Right back: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 10
Trent gets a 10 for being a proper Scouser throughout the game. Going in hard on his opponents and pinging inch perfect passes throughout.

Centre back: Virgil van Dijk – 9
The big Dutchman was imperious as ever.
Centre back: Dejan Lovren – 9
Dejan was terrific throughout and bagged himself an incredible assist.
Left back: Andy Robertson – 8.5
Robbo put in some sly tackles on The Ev and flew up and down the wing with his trademark determination.
Defensive midfield: James Milner – 9
Milly made some tackles that had you wondering how we ever got this man for free.
Centre midfield: Gini Wijnaldum – 9
Gini was determined and thorough as ever and he bagged a late goal that was a just reward.
Centre midfield: Adam Lallana – 8
For a man that doesn’t get many chances, he never fails to give it his all when he does.
Right wing: Xherdan Shaqiri – 9
Little Big Jed Shaqiri is just magic. His dribbling, vision and passing ability is invaluable. He took his goal well and should bag more in December.
Striker: Sadio Mane – 10
There are no words. Simply no words.
Left wing: Divock Origi – 10
