Recent months have seen Liverpool linked with moves for just about any impressive youngster in the game. This is in part due to the Reds’ reputation for buying young in recent seasons, part due to our current footballing supremacy. With this in mind, it is only a matter of time before rumours surface of a Liverpool move for Todd Cantwell of Norwich City.

The Canaries have gained the respect of a number of fans throughout the Premier League this season, the newly promoted side may be 19th in the table, three points from safety, but they have never compromised on their footballing philosophy.
This was evident against Liverpool on the opening day, the East Anglians were well beaten but they refused to give up on their expansive footballing style.
Todd Cantwell impressed against the Reds and he has performed well in other big games this campaign. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder scored in the Norfolk club’s historic 3-2 win over Manchester City and most recently netted in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal. He also found the goal in the 2-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park.
All told he has four goals and two assists in the Premier League so far, not bad at all for a young lad in a relegation threatened side.
Owing to his style of play and youth, it is only a matter of time before Liverpool are linked with a move for Todd Cantwell.
We have shown a preference for signing players under the age of 26 in recent years and tended towards diamonds in the rough as opposed to fully fledged superstars.
Cantwell fits the bill perfectly. He is young, works hard, is full of flair and would cost a fraction of the price that is being touted for the likes of Kai Havertz. Of course, their records are without compare. However, Jürgen Klopp has shown that he can transform any player with the talent and attitude into a world beater.
