What RTK has to say
The latest episode in the never ending saga that is Liverpool signing Kai Havertz.
The German 20-year-old is one of the hottest prospects in Europe. His goalscoring ability is without question and his dribbling and passing abilities are incredibly impressive.
With a host of clubs in pursuit of the youngster it will likely be a fierce bidding war that determines the starlet’s destination.
It would be unlike Liverpool to allow themselves to be drawn into an auction with other clubs. Of late we have been conducting our business efficiently and surreptitiously. We don’t overpay for our players. Whilst some may have questioned the Virgil van Dijk fee at the time, it has transpired to be a pittance.
However, the Reds have also demonstrated that they are willing to wait and do what it takes in order to secure their top targets. Whether or not this will extend to the club paying over the odds for Liverpool to sign Kai Havertz remains to be seen.
