Three players who could potentially replace Fabinho in midfield

Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has become instrumental to this Reds side.

The Brazilian limped out of yesterday Champions League match with Napoli .Jurgen Klopp confirmed an injury to his ankle that will need further examination.

It would be such a massive blow to lose such an influential player right now.

Here’s three Liverpool midfielders who could potentially fill the void.

Liverpool’s captain has played the defensive role before and could do it again. The 29-year-old has been impressive so far this season in a new more advanced position scoring and assisting goals. He of course has Fabinho to thank for that, but he may now have to return the favour. The club’s best option as whatever happens you know he’ll run himself into the ground and do a solid job for the side.

The 33-year-old veteran midfielder is the man we call on in times of crisis. Fabinho being injured for any amount of time is certainly a crisis in my book. James Milner’s versatility is perhaps his greatest strength. He can fill the void left by the Brazilian and free up Henderson to continues his fine form in more attacking areas of the pitch.

In all honesty, Liverpool simply wont be able to replace Fabinho. The 26-year-old is a unique player for the club and its pointless try to fill the void he’ll leave.

By opting for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in his place Klopp we can add another attacking outlet to our midfield and focus more on scoring goals than defending them
