The 22-year-old has been a breakout star for Frank Lampard this season. He has netted 10 goals in 12 appearances in the Premier League, bagging a couple of assists along the way. With the West End side dealing with a transfer ban, they have been forced to rely on their younger talents and they have more than stepped up to the plate.

The Daily Mirror reported the forward’s comments:

“For me in my spare time I go on Youtube and watch all the best strikers in the world play in this competition [Champions League], stealing their ideas and adding it to my game. I watch so many players. Harry Kane, [Sergio] Aguero, [Roberto] Firmino, these are Premier League strikers obviously but also [Robert] Lewandowski and all sorts and players who have played in this competition before.”

What RTK has to say

If you want to be the best, you have to learn from the best. Tammy Abraham studying Roberto Firmino is a sensible move.

It is interesting to hear that Bobby is in the list of strikers that Abraham watches. The pair have completely different styles of play.

Abraham is very much a traditional number nine. He is quick, threatening in the air and enjoys sitting on the shoulder of the last man. Whilst Firmino drops deep, creates space for the forwards around him and bags assists.

With the Chelsea striker looking to learn from the Brazilian, he may start becoming more rounded in his play. He will be a terrifying prospect if so.
