Goalkeeper: Alisson Becker

The Brazilian will be immovable from the Reds goal for the rest of the season.

Right back: Trent Alexander-Arnold

With The Eagles likely to defend deep and compact against the Reds, Trent’s delivery from wide areas could be crucial.

Centre back: Dejan Lovren

With no update yet being offered on the fitness of Joel Matip, we expect Dejan Lovren in the Liverpool lineup to face Crystal Palace.

Centre back: Virgil van Dijk

Who else?

Left back: James Milner

Andy Robertson withdrew from international duty with an ankle injury and won’t be fit enough for the trip to Selhurst Park. Milly has filled in at left back previously without a problem.

Defensive midfield: Fabinho

Fresh off the plane after playing the full 90 minutes as Brazil beat South Korea, Fabby will be dictating the tempo.

Centre midfield: Jordan Henderson

We will need Hendo moving the ball about quickly to open up any gaps in The Eagle’s defence.

Centre midfield: Gini Wijnaldum

With Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain having played twice in three days over the international break, we can expect the industrious Wijnaldum in the Reds’ midfield.

Right wing: Sadio Mane

Mo Salah bowed out of Egypt duty with a recurrence of an ankle injury sustained against Leicester City. The boss will want Mo fighting fit for the winter period, he won’t be risked this weekend.

Striker: Bobby Firmino

Facing a low block will call on all of the creative talents of our number nine. Let’s see what he’s got in his locker.

Left wing: Divock Origi

With Mo likely on the bench, our super sub will have a chance to shine.
