Footylabs have assessed the difficult of playing each team and used this to formulate data for the trickiness of each club’s forthcoming fixtures.

This data has been analysed by Planetfootball, who have ranked the difficulty of each team’s games so far. According to the report, Liverpool have had the ninth toughest run in so far and Manchester City have had the 19th.

With the Reds having one of the tougher starts to the season and their strongest title rivals having had nearly the easiest, Jürgen Klopp and his side have done terrifically to be so far ahead of the pack.

According to the formula: Liverpool have the second easiest schedule for the next five games and the third easiest for the rest of the season. Whilst Manchester City have the third toughest run in their next five matches and the thirteenth trickiest for the rest of the season.

What RTK has to say

This makes joyous, reassuring reading for Kopites. Liverpool title hopes are high at the moment, we don’t look like slipping up and the data doesn’t think we will either.

One key factor to add context to this data is the professionalism that the Reds have displayed this season. We are no longer dropping points where we shouldn’t. Last campaign we were cost the championship by too many draws, now we are more ruthless, more clinical.

With one of the easiest run ins remaining, we can cross our fingers in the hope that the lads maintain their professional streak throughout.
