Liverpool are incredibly lucky at the minute. The Reds front 3 is the most deadly attacking trio in world football, boasting a ceaselessly creative number 9 in Bobby Firmino and two fleet footed wingers with deadly finishing ability in Sadio Mane and Mo Salah. Each of Jürgen Klopp’s starting trio up top have a claim to be the best in the world, depending on your preferred footballing flavour. Ismaila Sarr of Watford has been heaping praise on one Liverpool forward in particular.
The Hornets winger told his club’s official YouTube channel, that Mane is untoppable, saying “for me, he is the best player in the world”. Sarr described Liverpool’s golden boot holder as “one of the best men in Africa and in the world”.
When asked why he had such high praise for his compatriot, the Senegalese winger said “because he is quality, he has won the Champions League, he has done everything for Liverpool and in all competitions”. Sadio Mane was one of the Reds most crucial players on their run to a 6th European Cup, netting an unforgettable goal against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena along the way. Sarr did continue by stating his disappointment for his friend that Liverpool haven’t achieved domestically yet, saying “unfortunately not the English league but I hope he does at some point”.
Sarr concluded “he is my idol”. This is definitely flattering praise for Liverpool’s electric winger but praise that he deserves. Mane has been in sensational form this season and deserves to be talked about as one of the world’s greats.
