Liverpool’s loanees have been in impressive form throughout Europe this season. The two stand out players thus far have been Marko Grujic and Harry Wilson. The latter is on loan at Bournemouth this season following an impressive spell under Frank Lampard at Derby County last campaign. The Welsh wizard has put in another top performance for The Cherries over the weekend, surely he must be in Jürgen Klopp’s plans for next season.
On Friday night Bournemouth recorded a 3-1 victory away at Southampton. The Cherries’ second goal was scored by none other than Liverpool’s loanee Harry Wilson. The Wales international deliciously swept home a low cross from Phillip Billing in the 35th minute. His finish was composed, accurate and deadly. The winger has shown a penchant for drifting inside off the right wing with great effect. He has also played behind the striker for Eddie Howe’s side this season.
Liverpool currently lack quality in depth going forward. Luckily for Jürgen Klopp, the Reds’ talismanic trio up top rarely miss a game through injury. However, if they were to, there is not sufficient quality to replace them with – especially with Divock Origi currently out. Next season, the German gaffer will need more attacking reinforcements and he may choose to save his money by giving Harry Wilson a chance in the first team squad. The Welshman now has 3 goals in 4 starts for Bournemouth in the league, an incredibly impressive return for his first season of top flight football.
The question is, how many more does Wilson have to score before Jürgen is convinced of his ability?
