Following an incredibly impressive campaign with Derby County in the Championship, there were question marks over whether Harry Wilson would be given a shot in the Liverpool team this season. The young winger was loaned out to Bournemouth and, by the looks of it, Wilson has a future at Liverpool owing to his early season form.

Wilson took the Championship by storm last year, banging in goals from everywhere and showing that he has a penchant for free kicks. The Welshman won Derby County’s goal of the month for five months in a row and narrowly missed out on a play-off final win.

Wilson’s form in the Championship was impressive enough for Reds fans to believe he warranted a shot in the Liverpool first-team. Over pre-season the winger showed his ability again, scoring a wonder-goal against Lyon.

Jürgen Klopp determined that Wilson needs another season of regular first team football, this time asking him to prove himself in the Premier League.

Notching two goals in three games for the Cherries so far, including a stunning free kick against Liverpool’s nemesis Manchester City, it is safe to say that Wilson has impressed since his move to the south coast.

With Liverpool’s depth on the wings currently limited to Shaqiri and an out of position Origi, Wilson has a future at Liverpool if he continues to develop and impress.
