3 Liverpool players that could make the difference against Chelsea

Liverpool are set to face Chelsea this weekend. It is a fixture frothing at the mouth with vitriol and unwavering contempt between the sets of fans. Both teams limped to defeat in the Champions League midweek. Chelsea were perhaps less impressive in their display, the Reds were unlucky to not at least come away with a draw as they looked the more likely of the teams to score before Napoli were awarded a controversial penalty. We take a look at 3 Liverpool players that could make the difference this weekend.

Naby Keita

If the Guinean international is fit, he could make all the difference in in the game. Liverpool looked impotent in midfield in Naples. Jürgen Klopp went with a trio of Fabinho, James Milner and Jordan Henderson against Napoli. The selection proved to be too defensive and the Reds will surely have to put some spark in ahead of the Stamford Bridge clash. Naby Keita can unlock defences with his ability to quicken the tempo and ghost past defenders.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

Chelsea have looked defensively disorganised at times this season. Liverpool will be looking to exploit that with unpredictable balls from their talismanic fullback, Alexander-Arnold. The local Scouser has a penchant for delivering undefendable balls into the box, with Liverpool poised to dominate possession, the wing back could make the difference.

Roberto Firmino

The Brazilian is in scintillating form at the minute. He has been drawing defenders in and knocking the ball into the open space behind them with regularity. When teams face Liverpool they often concentrate on defensive shape in the run up to the game, we need Bobby to make this hard work pointless when it comes to Sunday.
