James Maddison is allegedly being chased by a host of top sides. Liverpool are one of the sharks circling Leicester’s top talent, according to a report in the Manchester Evening News.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder would cost his next side a pretty penny, silly numbers have been thrown around. The Leicester Mercury reported that former Tottenham Hotspur defender Brian Statham believes that the youngster’s fee could reach the £100m mark. If Liverpool sign Maddison they could be unstoppable.

He has greatly impressed with his performances for the Foxes and has gone from strength to strength under Brendan Rodgers. The Northern Irishman is known for his ability to nurture young players, he worked extensively with the Chelsea academy, becoming their youth manager in 2004 before stepping up to reserve team manager two years later.
With the former Reds gaffer at the helm, Liverpool could have the advantage over Manchester City and Manchester United in their pursuit of the versatile creative player.
Maddison can play in the middle of the park but is more accustomed to an attacking midfield role, this season has also seen him deployed on the left wing. He has a keen eye for a defence splitting pass and a flair that would see him welcomed by the Kop with open arms. Liverpool have been lacking a midfielder that gets Anfield off their seats since the departure of Philippe Coutinho.
If Liverpool sign Maddison they could build a dynasty. He is young, full of potential and his attacking prowess fits in with Klopp’s style of play. With him at Anfield, the Reds could become nigh on unbeatable.
