Trent Alexander-Arnold simply must have had a positive impact on Liverpool’s summer signings.
‘The Scouser in the team’ has had an incredible rise over the last two seasons. Having started the 17/18 campaign as third-choice right-back, he ended it starting in a Champions League final.

By the end of this season, Alexander-Arnold is a European Champion and rated as the most valuable defender in the world at £116m.
And given Liverpool’s two reported signings this summer, Alexander-Arnold must have mad an impact.

Sepp van den Berg joined last month. The Dutchman has a very bright future and has already played ten Eredivisie games. Liverpool reportedly saw off interest from both Bayern Munich and Ajax to get him, too.
Then there’s Harvey Elliott. Both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly wanted the 16-year-old, but the Telegraph say he’s chosen Liverpool.

They’re bright talents with elite options. But looking at Liverpool and particularly Alexander-Arnold, it’s easy to see why it’s the place to be.
Here’s a player who has leapt to the very top of the game under Jurgen Klopp’s guidance and the systems in place at Liverpool. It’s proof of the current regime being able to develop players to the very, very top – and that will appeal to every young player.
