FSG’s transfer policy
Buy a young player with potential for inexpensively, pay low wages, train them up to be a superstar and then sell them on for a massive profit. It’s worked on one player, Luis Suarez. It’ll happen with Coutinho too, but two players out of god knows how many transfers? Far from acceptable.
I know Klopp also believes in the idea of training the player up and making him a superstar on the training field but take a look at his signings this summer. He’s signed Joel Matip, a player who has not only Champions League experience but has also played 194 games in the Bundesliga for Schalke. Then there’s Ragnar Klavan – early indications show he’s not really up to Premier League standards, but he’s another signing that has experience, with 112 games and captain at international level.
We need a left back, Jonas Hector was up for £20 million but we decided not to explore, why? Due to the price tag at his age, the FSG transfer policy is in full effect! It’s clear Klopp likes to have a few experienced heads in his side, so maybe splashing the cash on a few more experienced and ready made players wouldn’t go missing.
