The latest news, rumours, opinions and updates about former Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara from Rousing The Kop. Thiago joined the Reds from Bayern Munich in September 2020 for an initial £20m, rising up to £25m with add-ons.
He made his debut away to Chelsea as the Reds secured a 2-0 win in the Premier League in September 2020. Thiago later retired from playing in July 2024 after leaving Liverpool as a free agent that summer.
Liverpool moved to sign Thiago to provide Jurgen Klopp with one of the finest passers of the ball in Europe. The Spaniard had also won seven Bundesliga titles and the Champions League with Der FCB. He had also won the Champions League and four La Liga titles with FC Barcelona.
