The latest news, rumours, opinions and updates about former Liverpool forward Luis Diaz from Rousing The Kop. Diaz joined the Reds in January 2022 from FC Porto for an initial £37.5m, rising to £50m with add-ons. Anfield chiefs jumped to avoid Tottenham Hotspur sealing a deal.
Diaz favoured the chance to join Liverpool over Spurs, who had also held talks with Porto. The Colombian offered an assist on his Reds debut under Jurgen Klopp to help beat Cardiff City in the EFL Cup in February 2022, too. Liverpool won the EFL Cup and FA Cup in Diaz’s first season, before the No. 7 added a Premier League title in 2024/25, scoring 13 goals along the way.
In July 2025, Diaz was then sold to Bayern Munich after Liverpool agreed a fee of £65.5m with the German champions.
