Liverpool supporters are getting nervous that they may not secure the transfers they so desperately need this summer.
The Reds have so far bought Victor Munoz and seen Jeremy Jacquet arrive following a January agreement. However, more is required to plug the gaps in Andoni Iraola’s squad, especially in the forward areas, where Bradley Barcola is a top target.
Barcola is not only on Liverpool‘s radar, though, with Arsenal also said to be preparing a move for the Paris Saint-Germain forward. As both teams continue to watch Barcola at the World Cup, a front-runner for securing his services has been named.

Arsenal insiders thinks Gunners are favourites for Barcola
Liverpool have already missed out on Yan Diomande this summer, and have installed Barcola as the next one in their sights.
But getting him out of PSG will not be easy, and, according to journalist Lewis Steele, not only will they have to battle against the French club’s high asking price, but also with Arsenal, who currently think they are leading the way for the forward.
“Arsenal seem very hot on Morgan Rogers. Can they afford both of him and Bradley Barcola? I’m not sure,” Steele told his YouTube channel on Thursday.
“I had a text from someone in the know at Arsenal, or around Arsenal, I should say, last week and they were saying that they believe that Arsenal are top of the race for Barcola. But I don’t know how clearcut it is, we don’t know for certain whether he’s leaving, that’s another question.”

Steele went on to give his opinion around the chances of Liverpool beating Arsenal and signing Barcola, with the reporter suggesting that while the odds are seemingly stacking against the Reds, they have shown in the recent past that they can pull off transfers which, on paper, look impossible to do.
“There’s so many if, buts and maybes, it’s not even worth getting too excited or downbeat either way,” he said.
“I think it’s fair to say Liverpool will give it a go. We know they like him, they liked him last year, but I think it’s equally fair to say it’s going to be hard.
“But why can’t they do it? They’ve done Wirtz, they’ve done Isak and they were very hard. If you take the clock back 14, 15 months and I say ‘Liverpool are going to sign Wirtz and Isak in the same window’, you’d say that I was bonkers.”
Whoever does end up with Barcola – if he does leave at all – is going to have to pay an awful lot of money to get him. If the exit door opens at PSG, it looks like being a straight fight between Liverpool and Arsenal. The Gunners may think they have the edge, but don’t count Liverpool out.
