In turn, the Reds probably need a couple of new midfielders this summer, and Juventus’ Thuram is of interest.

Liverpool and Manchester United need to pay at least £40m for Khephren Thuram
Thuram joined Juve from Ligue 1 side Nice back in the summer of 2024.
He has since made 96 appearances for the Serie A outfit, scoring nine and assisting 13.
The Frenchman was a key cog in Juventus’ midfield last season, but the Italian side are not completely closed off to a sale.
Tutto Juve have provided an update on the Liverpool target’s future, saying he would like to remain at his current club.
However, they add that Manchester United and the Reds are both options for the player, and a minimum price tag has been set should Thuram move.
The outlet states: “There’s no set price for Thuram, but initial discussions could start around €45-50 million.”

That works out at around £40m, which is a lot lower than some of the fees being mentioned for other Liverpool midfield targets.
Adam Wharton is wanted by the Reds, but he could cost somewhere around £80m should he depart Crystal Palace.
A similar figure has been floated for Mateus Fernandes of West Ham United as well.
Meanwhile, though he’s not thought to be high on Liverpool’s list right now, there is talk of Elliott Anderson moving for over £100m.
Given the widely inflated prices in England right now, perhaps the Merseyside outfit would be better served shopping abroad to strengthen their midfield.
