Alexis Mac Allister has now been a Liverpool player for three years, but his future at Anfield is starting to look far less certain than it once did.
He still has two years left on his contract, but there has been growing noise about Real Madrid taking an interest, and no new deal on the table to quieten the rumours. After a tough individual season, nobody can be completely sure what comes next.
Whatever happens, though, Mac Allister has already built a strong Liverpool story. He has won the Premier League, lifted the League Cup, scored some outrageous goals and delivered in some of the biggest games. Here are five of his most memorable moments in a red shirt.

Alexis Mac Allister’s best moments in a Liverpool shirt
5. Sheffield United screamer
Liverpool made hard work of Sheffield United at Anfield in April 2024, and they needed a proper moment of quality to settle everyone down. Mac Allister provided it.
With the score level, the ball dropped to him on the edge of the box and he absolutely lashed it into the top corner at the Kop end. It was the kind of strike that looked even better because of the pressure of the moment.
Liverpool went on to win 3-1, and Mac Allister’s goal was later voted the club’s Goal of the Month for April.
4. Qarabag masterclass
Mac Allister’s 2025/26 season was far from perfect, but the 6-0 win over Qarabag in the Champions League was a reminder of just how good he can look when everything clicks.
He opened the scoring early, timed his run brilliantly and helped Liverpool take total control. He later added another as the Reds cruised through, with the performance standing out as one of his best European nights for the club.
He moved the ball with authority, arrived in the box at the right moments and looked like the midfielder Liverpool had been missing for too much of the campaign.
3. First trophy at Wembley
Mac Allister’s first season at Liverpool ended with silverware — the League Cup final win over Chelsea.

He started at Wembley in a patched-up Liverpool side that had to fight through injuries, pressure and extra time. It was not his flashiest performance, but he gave Jurgen Klopp control and bite in midfield before being substituted late in normal time.
For a player signed to lead a new midfield era, getting his hands on a trophy so quickly mattered. It gave him a first taste of winning with Liverpool and showed he belonged on the biggest domestic stages.
2. Real Madrid winner
Mac Allister has had notable European nights on Merseyside, but scoring the decisive goal against Real Madrid at Anfield is on a different level.
Los Blancos are one of Liverpool’s great modern foes, so to find that moment against a team of that stature is special, even if it was only the league phase.
That is the kind of moment fans remember. Big opponent, big stage, big goal, and Mac Allister right in the middle of it.
1. Fulham wondergoal
There could only be one winner. Mac Allister’s first Liverpool goal against Fulham in December 2023 remains his defining individual moment for the club.

The ball sat up from around 30 yards and he struck it perfectly, sending a swerving rocket past Bernd Leno and into the top corner.
The strike won the Premier League Goal of the Month for December and was later voted Liverpool’s Goal of the Season for 2023/24. It was the moment Mac Allister truly announced himself.
Now the question is whether there are more moments still to come. Liverpool will find out soon enough if Mac Allister remains part of the next era, or if these memories end up forming the best of his Anfield story.
