Liverpool youngsters Josh Sonni-Lambie and Kieran Morrison have been recognised for their outstanding individual seasons with Premier League nominations.

Sonni-Lambie has burst onto the scene, scoring 16 times in the U18s Premier League, while Morrison has been brilliant for the U21s, grabbing 14 goals.

Both will have their eyes on promotions at Liverpool next season, but, in the more immediate future, the pair will be aiming to beat away the competition and win the Player of the Year award for their respective divisions.

Sonni-Lambie and Morrison up for Premier League awards

As Liverpool assess their options in attack this summer, Sonni-Lambie has to figure somewhere in the thinking.

The 18-year-old has been sensational for Simon Wiles’ team, and on Friday he was deservedly named as one of eight nominees for the U18s Premier League Player of the Season.

Morrison, meanwhile, should be aiming to impress in pre-season and hopefully put his name firmly in the mix as one of Arne Slot’s permanent attacking options.

14 goals and four assists rightly saw the 19-year-old up for the Premier League 2 Player of the Season.

With all 16 candidates chosen by the Premier League’s Football Development Panel, Sonni-Lambie and Morrison have both been recognised as two of the very best young talents in England right now.

Both winners will be announced next Tuesday at the Premier League Youth Development Conference, with the development panel also deciding who will win the awards.
