Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu as they aim to bolster their defence this summer.
The Reds are set to make some changes to their back line at the end of the campaign, with Jeremy Jacquet already confirmed as a new arrival.
Whether another player is targeted will likely depend on the outcome of Ibrahima Konate’s contract talks. But as doubt continues to surround Konate’s extension, the Italian press have claimed that Kalulu has shot to the top of Liverpool‘s list.

Liverpool set sights on Pierre Kalulu
Should Konate leave at the end of the season, Liverpool will certainly need to dip into the market for a replacement.
According to Tutto Juve, Kalulu has emerged as a player who could fit the bill.
Liverpool are said to have been impressed by the Frenchman after monitoring him for some time, and are ready to make their interest concrete.
Indeed, Kalulu is now said to have become a ‘top priority’ for the Reds, who reportedly think he is one of the best prospects available in Europe.

Labelled as a fast defender with ‘tactical versatility, quickness in one-on-one situations, and technical ability in build-up play,’ Kalulu is claimed to be exactly what Liverpool are looking for this summer.
The Reds reportedly see the former AC Milan defender as being a player for the here and now, but also one who could develop further in the future.
An important player for Juventus, the Old Lady are said to be keen on keeping Kalulu, but should a good offer arrive from the Premier League specifically, they could be lured into securing ‘crucial finances.’
With reports suggesting that Kalulu is valued at around €40m by Juve, the price does not seem out of reach for Liverpool. Perhaps this could be one to watch.
