It is expected to be another summer of change at Liverpool, both when it comes to incomings and outgoings.

Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson are both leaving on free transfers, while fellow experienced star Alisson is wanted by Juventus.

However, while Liverpool spent £450m last summer, more additions are expected over the coming months, with moves for Adam Wharton, Marcos Senesi, Yan Diomande and Bradley Barcola all possible.

You can only pick ONE player for Liverpool to sign this summer, who is it?

Adam Wharton, Marcos Senesi, Yan Diomande and Bradley Barcola eyed by Liverpool

Recent reports claimed that, amid a potential price tag of around £80m, Wharton is viewed as a dream signing for Liverpool.

Diomande has been linked for a while as well, as the 19-year-old continues to impress in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig.

Elsewhere, Senesi will become a free agent at the end of June when his contract with Bournemouth expires.

Barcola is another name who continues to be mooted as an option for a summer move to Anfield, also.

Now, Spanish outlet Marca have shared an insight into Liverpool’s summer transfer plans, in which they claim advanced talks for Wharton are underway.

They state: “The Anfield club have entered the race for Marcos Senesi, who is now a free agent, and are in advanced talks for young Adam Wharton, preempting Real Madrid’s earlier interest. As for the attack, after deeming the signing of Olise “impossible,” the Reds are now focusing their efforts on Yan Diomandé (RB Leipzig) or Barcola (PSG) to bolster a winger position they consider vital for next season.”

How much better would Liverpool have been if they’d hired an interim manager in January❓🔄

Bradley Barcola vs Yan Diomande stats

Interestingly, it seems like Liverpool will look to sign one of Barcola or Diomande this summer, not both.

The PSG man has made 43 appearances across all competitions so far this season, in which he has scored 12 and assisted seven.

As for Diomande, he already has 13 goals and nine assists in just 33 matches, all of which took place inside Germany.

Barcola, 23, is a slightly more experienced option than the Ivorian (19), but the Leipzig winger is showing much promise.
