Liverpool are on a three-game win streak that has put them right back in the mix for a top-three finish in the Premier League.
It says something about the lack of quality this season that Liverpool have ended up so high in the standings after what has been an abysmal campaign. However, fourth place with four games to go still leaves time to rise further, especially with Manchester United and Aston Villa still to come.
There is still a chance for Liverpool to end this chaotic Premier League campaign in a position that would have looked very unlikely not too long ago. With that in mind, here is how Rousing The Kop readers on the TalkingPoints platform see the season concluding.

Liverpool fans predict a third-place finish over Man United
Manchester United are three points ahead of Liverpool as things stand, but the two sides meet at Old Trafford on Sunday.
That has led the vast majority of Liverpool fans to a promising conclusion.
As one fan put it: “Yes, we will leapfrog Man United and finish third.”
Another supporter was also confident, saying: “Win at Old Trafford next weekend and third is ours to lose! Villa have too poor a goal difference to feature strongly.”
That was a common feeling among supporters, with another fan pointing out just how important the next two games away from Anfield could be.
They said: “Two huge games now against Villa and United. Win both and third is ours to lose.”
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 3 | 34 | 17 | 10 | 7 | 60 | 46 | 14 | 61 | |
| 4 | 34 | 17 | 7 | 10 | 57 | 44 | 13 | 58 | |
| 5 | 34 | 17 | 7 | 10 | 47 | 42 | 5 | 58 |
There is also some caution, though, especially given how fragile Liverpool have looked at the back for large parts of the season.
One supporter said: “Not if we have to keep relying on our goalkeepers to keep the ball out when the defence can’t defend.”
Another fan struck a more balanced tone, saying: “Third is absolutely on, but I think we’ll most likely end up fourth. It can help massively that we’re playing Villa and United, obviously, but I would feel much more confident if we had at least one of them at home. Either way, fourth after the season we’ve had would be a big relief.”
Liverpool have given themselves a genuine chance, but there is still work to do to leap over their bitter Manchester rivals.
As one fan summed up: “Big chance next week, but we need to be better across 90 minutes.”
UCL Race: Will Man Utd, Chelsea, or Villa finish ahead of Liverpool?
Most supporters are optimistic, then, but that optimism is clearly based on Liverpool beating United at Old Trafford.
That on its own is no easy feat, but a win there would surely drive Liverpool on to lock in what would be an impressively high finish given the circus this season has been.
