Hugo Ekitike has joined up with the French national squad despite being taken off with an injury during Liverpool’s defeat against Brighton on Saturday.
The Reds badly missed Ekitike after he picked up a dead leg during an early challenge with James Milner, and there were concerns that he might have sustained a serious problem.
However, after Arne Slot confirmed that the 23-year-old had simply been given a dead leg, Ekitike was seen joining up with his French teammates on Monday.

Ekitike seen joining up with France national team
With Alexander Isak not yet ready to play, Liverpool fans have been worried that Ekitike could miss their massive upcoming matches against Manchester City and PSG.
They have been handed some good news to kick off the international break, though, as L’Equipe shared a video of the former Eintracht Frankfurt man arriving at the French training camp.
Though he did appear to be walking with a slight limp, Ekitike is seen making his way into the building to meet up with his teammates, including Ibrahima Konate.

It should now be expected that Ekitike will be involved for France, and, barring any further issue, will be fine for when Liverpool return to action in April.
The French play against Brazil on Thursday evening before facing Colombia on Sunday.
