Alisson Becker and Mohamed Salah took to Instagram on Sunday to share how their injury recoveries are coming along.

Both players missed Saturday’s defeat against Brighton, with Liverpool now sweating on whether they’ll be back for a crucial run of fixtures after the international break.

Neither will feature for their country in March, and as supporters cross their fingers on having two key men back for the FA Cup and Champions League quarter-finals, Alisson and Salah both look to be stepping up their comebacks.

Alisson’s compression boots and Salah hits the gym

There has been no exact timescale given on when either Alisson or Salah are expected to be back fit, although the Egyptian seems to be closest to a return.

That probability appeared to be confirmed on Sunday, when he posted on his Instagram stories while hard at work in the gym.

Posing shirtless in front of the mirror, Salah added two bicep curl emojis to suggest that he is well on the comeback trail.

As for Alisson, the goalkeeper shared a photo of himself sitting while wearing compression boots, a common tool used to aid, and even speed up, muscle recovery.

The Brazilian even added a selfie for good measure, and though he did not exactly look thrilled, it was good to see him after a weekend away.

At least Alisson had some football on the TV to keep him occupied, and he appears to have been watching boyhood club Internacional as they beat Chapecoense 2-0 in the Brazilian Serie A on Sunday night.

Alisson suggested he may be out for a while with his previous Instagram post, so it’s nice to see that he is working hard to be back as soon as possible in the meantime.
