Milos Kerkez has called on Liverpool to show their mentality as they prepare to face European kings Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League.
The Reds were much improved during Wednesday’s clash with Galatasaray, comfortably making it through to the quarter-finals with a 4-0 win.
Holders PSG will offer a far sterner test, but when asked about the possibility of progressing past the French side and perhaps going all the way to the Champions League final, Kerkez claimed that a mix of mentality and courage will be needed from Liverpool.

There was much more energy vs Galatasaray, could that change things?
Kerkez calls on Liverpool to replicate Gala thrashing
Prior to Wednesday night’s win, Liverpool supporters were feeling decidedly resigned to their team exiting the Champions League, if not against Galatasaray, then in the next round.
However, such was the improvement in the Reds’ performance, fans will now be dreaming of something special happening for them in Europe.
Kerkez is certainly onboard with that, telling LFCTV that if Liverpool maintain the same attitude as they did on Wednesday, then anything is possible.

“We know they are the champions, won it last year, so a great team,” the left-back said of PSG.
“Obviously we’re looking forward to it, but we know we need to pick up points in the Premier League, so looking forward to Brighton already.
“We talk about it [reaching the UCL final], you know, but let’s see. I think it would be special. Let’s take it game by game, if we play like tonight with this mentality, with this courage, with everything, I think we are a really good team, really tough to beat. I hope, it would be special, wouldn’t it.”
Analysis: Liverpool can beat PSG
Playing like they have for much of the season so far, Liverpool would have virtually no chance against PSG.
However, Wednesday was a glimpse into what this team can do when they play with the shackles off.
In that kind of form, there is no reason why Liverpool cannot beat any team on the planet, including the current European champions.
Who was your Man of the Match in Liverpool’s rout of Galatasaray? 💪
Even while playing poorly last season, the Reds gave Luis Enrique’s team a really good game, and those two matches will serve them well to go one better this time.
Kerkez is right, though, the mentality has to be spot on. And the bravery, too. Liverpool cannot play within themselves, they must ride on the energy of a fervent Anfield and simply go for it.
There is little left to lose in what has been a turgid season for the Reds, but if they can use the Galatasaray performance as a blueprint, there could yet be a special ending.
