After Liverpool’s dismantling of Galatasaray, John Terry issued a statement commending the brilliant performance from Dominik Szoboszlai.

There’s plenty to praise from Liverpool’s convincing 4-0 win on Wednesday night, not least the continuation of an impressive run of Champions League form from the Hungarian all-action midfielder.

His goal against Galatasaray was a fifth in Europe this season. With four assists to go along with the goal output, Szoboszlai is nearing Steven Gerrard’s record of ten contributions in a Champions League campaign.

After the game, Chelsea legend Terry was full of praise for the Reds, and Szoboszlai in particular.

Terry took to TikTok to give his take on Liverpool’s emphatic performance.

He said: “Liverpool actually been really good tonight. How good is Szoboszlai, by the way? Let’s get off Chelsea, because I just can’t even go there at the minute. How good have these been tonight?

“Really good performance. And it looks like them and Arsenal are flying the flag for the English teams.”

His own team crashed out in convincing fashion against Liverpool’s next opponents, PSG. It leaves just Arsenal and Liverpool as the Premier League’s representation in the last eight.

CHANGE MY MIND: Liverpool are still the best team in Europe on their day

After watching all of the other quarter-finalists, the Reds have nobody to fear in the Champions League 🏆

Terry is right to single out Szoboszlai. Not only has he been immense in this competition, but he has come up with decisive moments for the Reds in all competitions.

If Liverpool are to continue on their path to the Champions League final in Budapest, they will need him to carry on producing performances like the ones we have seen all season.
