Right from the very start of his Liverpool career, Milos Kerkez has cut a committed figure on the pitch for the Reds.

Tenacious, full-blooded and occasionally rash, the Hungarian can never be accused of not giving it everything while playing for his new club.

Initially, that desire to do well did not translate into good performances for Kerkez. However, in recent months, the 22-year-old has really started to show why Liverpool were so keen to sign him.

Arne Slot thinks Tottenham will be a tough game because of their new manager, who has lost four games in a row! 😵‍💫

And in a new interview with Sky Sports ahead of Sunday’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur, Kerkez has admitted that his good displays have coincided with him realising just what it means to play for Liverpool.

Kerkez wants fans to see his commitment

Kerkez received plenty of criticism for his early performances at Liverpool, but as a young player making a big step up from Bournemouth, he should have been afforded more leeway.

Now repaying the £45m fee spent on him last year, the Hungary international was asked how he would like to look back on his time at Liverpool in the future, and gave a response which should leave supporters smiling.

“I would like everyone just to remember that I gave really 100 per cent every time I was on the pitch,” Kerkez said.

“I started to understand slowly what it means to wear this badge, to wear this jersey, what it means for the people here. I just want them to remember that I gave 100 per cent all the time.

“Obviously a few trophies would also be nice! Of course, trophies are what you always want to play for and that’s what Liverpool is for, so I hope a few of those are going to come.”

Despite the early question marks over him, Kerkez has already shown fans just how committed he is to the cause and, hopefully in better seasons to come, his wish of trophies may also come true.

For now, as long as he continues giving everything every time he steps out for Liverpool, fans’ affection will only grow further.
