Graeme Bailey, writing for TeamTalk, has now shared this week that Liverpool believe they have now offered Konate the most lucrative contract offer when it comes to basic salary.
Furthermore, ‘there is a new confidence from within the club that Konate will sign up’.
But while those in a position of power on Merseyside seem sure the stopper will stay beyond 2025/26, there is plenty of interest in his services from foreign sides, who are already about to agree a pre-contract with the player.
Serie A outfit Inter Milan were linked with Konate last week, while Bailey also mentions that Spanish giants Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are looking at the player.

Though Liverpool are said to have offered Konate a lucrative contract this year, his current earnings are among the lowest from Arne Slot’s regular starters.
After he signed a two-year extension in 2025, Mohamed Salah is the highest-earning player at Liverpool with a base weekly salary of £400,000, according to Capology.
Virgil van Dijk takes second place on the list with a weekly standard salary of £350,000.
Konate, meanwhile, is reported to net £70,000-a-week, which makes him the 18th-highest earning Liverpool player in 2025/26.
