Alexander Isak is expected to make his return for Liverpool around the March international break.
The Swede moved to Anfield on September 1 2025, and has since struggled for form and fitness.
In 2025/26, Isak has been in and out of the team, with Hugo Ekitike instead acting as Liverpool’s primary number nine.
Rank Alexander Isak against these past and present Liverpool strikers!
The former Newcastle United man’s latest issue came in December when he was injured following a tackle from Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Micky van de Ven.
When he’s back from injury, the striker will have earned around £3.5m in wages without kicking a ball.
Alexander Isak’s Liverpool wage
An update on Isak’s return from injury emerged this week, with it now expected he will be back around the March international break.
From the meeting with Spurs on December 20, 2025 to the break, 14 weeks will have passed.
At present, Capology report that he’s taking home £280,000-a-week following his summer move to Anfield.
That means that Isak will have earned £3.92m during his spell on the sidelines for Liverpool.
Meanwhile, his first year with the Reds, which hasn’t really gone to plan so far, will see the 26-year-old take home a grand total of £14.56m.

Liverpool’s highest-earning players
Despite being the club’s most expensive signing ever, Isak is not on the biggest contract at Liverpool.
Instead, Mohamed Salah takes that title, notching £400,000-a-week without bonuses after he penned fresh terms last year.
Virgil van Dijk, who also signed a new deal in 2025, is the second-highest earner on £350,000-a-week.
After Isak, Cody Gakpo is believed to take home £250,000-a-week, or £13m across 12 months.
Fellow summer signings Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz are then both earning £200,000-a-week.
