Liverpool have let some big names leave Anfield in the last few years, some of whom have fared better than others.
This past summer saw Richard Hughes overrule Arne Slot to sell Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich.
Diaz has shone in Germany in the months since, while Slot has been left with little pace in his forward line.
Now, on Transfer Deadline Day, one pundit has suggested another former Liverpool winger could re-join the Merseyside outfit.

Harry Wilson Liverpool return mooted
Speaking live on Sky Sports News on Monday afternoon, former player Jay Bothroyd said Harry Wilson could be an option for Liverpool.
The Welshman is now in the final six months of his Fulham contract and is yet to pen fresh terms.
Bothroyd stated: “At Fulham, I think he’s going to leave on a free transfer. He’s going to explore his options. And there are clubs that will want to sign Harry Wilson.
“I mean, we just heard there that Everton are interested in him. I mean, even Liverpool. Liverpool could do it. Liverpool might want him because they’ve only got Salah. They haven’t got another natural right winger. Someone like Harry Wilson has played that well. Technically, he’s very good as well.
“They’ll maybe look at him. There’s no risk because they’re signing him for free. So I’m a bit surprised they wouldn’t be interested in selling him right now. But from Harry Wilson’s point of view, he’s got the best of both worlds, really.”

Harry Wilson vs Mohamed Salah in 2025/26
Liverpool may well need to replace Mohamed Salah later this year amid interest from the Saudi Pro League.
But is Wilson, who left Anfield for £12m [BBC] in 2021, good enough to fill the boots of the Egyptian?
While Fulham’s campaign has been mixed, the 28-year-old does have nine goals and five assists in all competitions this season.
Meanwhile, Salah’s decline has concerned fans, who have watched the Reds icon net six and assist six in 24 matches during 2025/26 so far.
