Andy Robertson is now in talks to leave Liverpool and sign for Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
The Scotsman is in the final six months of his contract at Anfield, but could now seal a January exit.
Robertson has lost his place as a regular starter to summer addition Milos Kerkez.
After a slow start, Kerkez is impressing Liverpool fans on a weekly basis, meaning the long-time left-back has become a fringe player.
Is Liverpool letting Andy Robertson join Tottenham a mistake? Who could replace the left-back?

While some may have hoped the defender would see out the remainder of his contract, he could leave soon.
David Ornstein has broken the news on X/Twitter on Friday morning.
He wrote: “Tottenham Hotspur working on deal to sign Andy Robertson from Liverpool. #THFC brought forward plan to vie for 31yo #LFC left-back as free agent this summer; not done but talks between all parties advancing in bid to reach agreement”.
Robertson joined Liverpool from Hull City back in the summer of 2017.
The 31-year-old has since made 363 appearances for the Reds, in which he has scored 12 and provided 68 assists.
If he is to depart, it will be the second time in the space of a year Liverpool have lost one of their long-time full-backs who brought so much success under Jurgen Klopp.
