Carragher played the full 90 minutes and picked up a yellow card during the game, with the Reds putting up a good fight considering the difference in quality on the pitch.

As for the Reds, they started players such as Daniel Agger, Jermaine Pennant and Boudewijn Zenden, making it an uphill battle from the start.
However, 2-1 is a respectable scoreline, although it is understandable why Carragher wishes he could change it.
