It is still unclear whether Mohamed Salah will ever play for Liverpool again.
The Reds have not had the best of seasons so far, and for that reason, they might dip into the transfer market to get a bit of help.
A winger seems fairly high up on the agenda, but could be something that is made a priority should Salah leave in January, with his future still up in the air.
They have been linked with many names, one being Antoine Semenyo, but that now looks off the table, meaning they must pivot to alternatives.
With Antoine Semenyo looking unlikely, which forward should Liverpool sign instead?
They need someone to fill in for Isak 🤕
A new target has cropped up too at a cheap price, but it really has left Liverpool fans divided online.
Liverpool fans unsure on links to Karim Adeyemi
A new name that has cropped up is Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi, with the German tipped with a mid-season move.
Liverpool are one of the clubs who could make an attempt to sign him, with £20m feeling very cheap, although fans seem to be on the fence.
One supporter wrote: “Great price for a squad player and keep money for Barcola or Diomande in the summer,” while another said: “Slot will turn him into a weapon for us.”
A third is not entirely convinced, but reckons it might be worth a gamble, writing: “His end product isn’t great but for someone with his pace for £20m wouldn’t be a bad move either will see what happens.”
Some really do not like the move, though, with one saying: “Nah. His attitude stinks and we don’t have Klopp to fix it.”
A fifth said: “Unprofessional. Behaviour we don’t need at the club,” while another wrote: “He’d flop so badly.”
For £20m, it is hard to see too much of an issue, however, with a seventh saying: “20m is no brainer! I like him and he has pace to burn,” with a final supporter writing: “A lad with a bad attitude who isn’t that good? Pass.”
What is Karim Adeyemi like as a footballer?

A lot has been made of Adeyemi over the years, but one thing that seems to stick is his attitude.
He was reportedly let go by Bayern Munich as a teenager for this reason, while he has had numerous spats with managers too.
The 23-year-old often reacts badly when substituted too, something that would often put Liverpool off a player as they do not need egos.
It seems like a move the Reds would never make, but desperate times cause for desperate measures, so fans will have to see how this one plays out.
