Liverpool supporters are grappling with the reality that Mohamed Salah may be set to make his final appearance for the club on Saturday.
The Egyptian is set to be included in the Reds’ squad to face Brighton at Anfield despite an ongoing issue between him and Arne Slot.
Slot and Salah met face-to-face on Friday evening, with the result being that the veteran winger will re-join the Liverpool squad for Saturday’s game.

Although there have been question marks over whether Salah could cause an unwanted distraction for his Liverpool teammates, the hope will be that his professionalism will ultimately shine through.
Certainly, listening to the likes of Milos Kerkez talk about Salah, it becomes clear that his re-addition to the group will likely be universally welcomed.

After a difficult start to his Liverpool career, Kerkez has been better recently, outlining why the Reds were so convinced he can be their left-back for years to come.
During the dark moments, though, the 22-year-old has needed the older heads in the squad to help him out.

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com about how Dominik Szoboszlai in particular has been key to keeping his – and the team’s – spirits up, Kerkez also name-checked Salah as one of the real leaders behind the scenes.
“It’s important,” he said when asked about Szoboszlai’s leadership. “We have a great character in Virgil [van Dijk] as a captain and he helps a lot. Ali is there, Mo [Salah] is helping a lot, Robbo, all the guys that are much more experienced than us.
“They went through everything and it’s really helpful to have them here. Obviously when the results weren’t so great they came and spoke and really motivated us and that we have to do things different here because this is Liverpool.”

“Especially him [Szoboszlai], he’s also a very good friend of mine and I’ve known him since I was 17 or 18, so I know how he is. He’s really important. He’s a great captain for us in the national team and a great character there and really important also there.”
Kerkez finally getting to grips with his new teammates
It has been obvious over recent weeks that something has clicked for Kerkez at Liverpool.
After looking in danger of becoming an expensive bust at left-back, the Hungarian has begun to settle and has put in some good performances.
According to Kerkez himself, this is all part of the process of getting to know his new teammates and learning from them on the pitch.
“It’s coming,” he said. “We do a lot of video analysis and we talk between each other with the coach and everything. With time everything comes good and in the last few weeks some results were not great and some were good. I think we’re coming good together and when you’re new – a few new players came – you need some time.
“I know how it was for me when I went to Bournemouth. You need time, but what is most important is that you’re willing to take on everything – competition and to learn and improve. I’m like that. I know with time everything will be good in the team.”
