Liverpool’s draw with Leeds felt more like a loss after they let a two-goal lead slip.
The Reds looked like they were getting back on track after going 2-0 up at Elland Road on Saturday evening, but just like they have done so many times this season, they crumbled.
Two quick goals from Leeds saw them get back into the game, although Liverpool managed to get back in front, so you would imagine they would learn their lesson.
How did you rate the players during Saturday’s gutting 3-3 draw with Leeds?
But of course, they did not, conceding again for the game to end 3-3, with some of their stars’ performances under the spotlight.
There is one in particular who had another game to forget, and former Red Jermaine Pennant has admitted that he is now ‘done’ with him, with Liverpool fans likely agreeing.
Jermaine Pennant is ‘done’ with Ibrahima Konate
Liverpool looked fairly comfortable in the game when 2-0 up, with it looking like they would be able to see it out with relative ease.
But in typical Ibrahima Konate fashion, he could not go a game without making a mistake, with this one proving very costly.

His careless challenge gave away the penalty that led to Leeds’ first goal, with the crowd coming alive after this moment, which helped them fight back and claim a result.
Pennant could not contain his anger at the Frenchman anymore, posting on his X account that he was done with him.
“I’m done with Konate now seriously 4th game in a row he makes a mistake leading to a goal…” he wrote.
“He’s strong and quick but that’s it, technically he’s awful, doesn’t win aerial duels even though he’s 6’4, passing ability of Sunday league… Marc Guehi please come January 1st.”
Things changed VERY quickly during Liverpool vs Leeds…
Liverpool must sign a centre-back in January
Liverpool fans will absolutely agree with Pennant as yet again, he has cost Liverpool the game, with this not helping his case.
The fact he has still not signed his contract will only anger them more, with his constant errors only reinforcing their need for a replacement or at least competition for his spot.
Marc Guehi is the obvious solution, with a decent enough bid in January likely enough to tempt him to join, with this something that might have to happen if they want to save their season.
Konate now needs to decide where he wants his future to lie, because if his performances are anything to go by, he would be lucky to get a contract elsewhere.
