Alexander Isak has had one of the worst possible starts he could have asked for at Liverpool.
The Reds went big in the summer and brought in some of the best talent from around Europe, with the aim being to retain their title.
Isak was the pick of the bunch, costing a British transfer record of £125m, but he has not lived up to expectations thus far.
He has just one goal and has been unfit or injured for most of the season, with this period in the season now extra important for the Swede.
However, Liverpool are linked with a signing that might just make his life even harder, so he might have to take his game to another level if he is to succeed.

Antoine Semenyo would make Alexander Isak’s life harder
The Reds are linked with a few players, but the one whose name keeps coming up is Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo.
He has been one of the best wingers in the league this season, with the Ghanaian a real game changer and someone who could thrive at Anfield.
So, many would wonder how signing a player of his quality would make a striker’s job harder, but the statistics can prove exactly why.
StatMuse shows that last season, Semenyo had taken the second most shots in the Premier League, attempting 126.
The only person above him was Mohamed Salah, meaning they could have the two players who go for goal most in one team.

This impacts Isak as instead of looking to feed him and set him up to score, they will be more likely than most to go for goal themselves, limiting the chances he will get.
Antoine Semenyo would not be able to be greedy
One silver lining for Isak is that despite the amount of shots he has, Semenyo is not greedy and still sets his teammates up.
He has three assists in the Premier League this season, with the Ghanaian also more likely to pass should he join a new club as he will want to make a good impression.
Playing for a club like Liverpool too, players who are selfish will not prosper, with there needing to be some level of selflessness to succeed.
Semenyo to Liverpool would certainly be an interesting signing, but with Isak already struggling, they will need to focus on getting him back on track first.
