Some of Liverpool’s loanees are not having the seasons they thought they would.
The Reds are having a torrid season so far, with four Premier League losses on the bounce leaving them seventh in the table, one point below Man United.
It is not just Liverpool who are struggling, though, as some of the players they have sent out on loan are as well, something that is far from ideal to say the least.
This is supposed to be a time where players get important minutes to kick-start or reignite their careers, but for one star, his temporary move has become a bit of a nightmare.
However, there is still a chance he has an Anfield future as Liverpool might decide to recall him in January, that is if both clubs agree.

Harvey Elliott could still return to Liverpool
Harvey Elliott has proven over the years just how good a footballer he is, with his performance at last summer’s Under 21 Euros showing the world again.
This got him a loan move to Aston Villa, with the midlands club having an obligation to buy for around £35m if he makes 10 league appearances.
However, he has made just five and was left out of the team to face Manchester City entirely, suggesting that Unai Emery is not the biggest of fans.
With that said, Elliott could still return if he fails to make five more appearances, although he could also be recalled in January if both clubs agree and find a solution.
As things stand, Liverpool will likely not be happy with how little game time he has received, while Villa may not be impressed with his application, suggesting it is more than plausible that he returns at some point over the next year.
Harvey Elliott could even get more game time at Liverpool
Elliott’s reasoning for leaving was needing more minutes, and rightly so, but he may have got even more had he stayed put.
He can play as a central-midfielder, number 10 or even on the wing, with the performances from those in these positions currently suggesting he could have had a fair few chances to impress.
Mohamed Salah’s form in particular has seen him drop to the bench on a few occasions, so in any other season, it would have probably been Elliott who got the nod to replace him.
Whether it is January or the summer that Elliott returns, or perhaps even not at all, his talent means that he will have a very bright future ahead anyway and that it will all start to click soon.
