The young Reds managed to scrape past Eintracht Frankfurt in a hectic game that saw nine goals scored, with many stars putting on a real noteworthy performance.
One of these came from Sonni-Lambie who scored and assisted during the game, with this moving Liverpool up to fifth in the league phase standings.
Trent Kone-Doherty grabbed a brace, Oliver O’Connor came off the bench to score one, with the other being an own goal from the German side.
The youth team did their job, albeit in dramatic circumstances, so now it is time for the first-team to follow suit.
Josh Sonni-Lambie is making a real impression
Sonni-Lambie is one of Liverpool’s most exciting youngsters, with it only being this month that he was promoted to the Under 21s.
He impressed on his debut against Crewe Alexandra, with many coaches at the club having high expectations of him.
This performance will only have proved further why so much trust is being put in him, with the Reds having a great chance to win the UEFA Youth League if he continues in this vein of form.
Sonni-Lambie was substituted in the 60th minute, suggesting he might be being saved for games later down the line as they look to maintain their unbeaten record in the competition.
